A quick note from the Association President
Fellow Rakkasans, we are well on our way into February!
I hope to see many of you at the 101st Airborne Division Association/Florida Gulf Coast Chapter's Reunion called Snowbird. The reunion starts tomorrow, February 12th and ends on the 16th of February. It is being held in Tampa, Florida. For all those who plan to attend, I look forward to seeing you all there.
Please remember to make plans and register for the 2025 National Rakkasan Association/Hamburger Hill Chapter Reunion in May of 2025. Call your fellow Rakkasans and make plans to attend. You can find more details below and on the Association website.
I would also like to take a moment to congratulate a former Rakkasan, Pete Hegseth, on his confirmation as the Secretary of Defense. We wish him the best in this critical job. Let Valor Not Fail!

2025 National Rakkasan Reunion
Calling all Rakkasans!
Registration is now open!
The 2025 National Rakkasan Association Reunion, sponsored by the Weldon F. Honeycutt/Hamburger Hill Chapter will be held May 12 to 16, 2025. Location will be Clarksville, TN.
It is time to 1) register for the reunion and 2) make your hotel reservations.
No better salve for the soul than to spend a few days with Rakkasans, past and present!! Everyone is welcome regardless of when you served.

2025 Election Reminder
The following positions were open for nominations and election in 2025: President, Treasurer, Director Seat 5, Director Seat 7, Director Seat 9. The Nominations and Declarations period closed on January 15, 2025. Only one nomination was received for each open position. As a result, the following nominees/incumbents will remain in their respective positions for an additional two year term. President - Bob Harkins Treasurer - Jim Sullivan Director Seat 5 - Mike Smith Director Seat 7 - Jeremy Bowling Director Seat 9 - Hunter Everett Congratulations to all! |

Looking back at the last 30 days we have been notified of the following:
Clarence "Clay" Barker's interment ceremony will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on April 25, 2025. Clay passed away in 2024. He was a Korean War Veteran and a dedicated Life Member of the Rakkasan Association. Rest in Peace Clay...we will keep the legacy alive.
